Painting Frames "Alexia" |
French Ebony • Serie: Marais II • Width: 85mm • Height: 43mm |
The Marais II frame series presents the Alexia model with an exceptionally unusual overall width. The designers have brought the real wood molding to 85 mm in the front view and thus created a fancy decorative frame. At the highest height that protrudes into the room, Alexia is 43 mm. These appear immediately in the upper area of the frame. As a flat plane at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, the narrow upper bar extends into the room. It has the French Ebony color scheme, which was brought over the entire frame. At the end of this obliquely lowered bar, the makers have placed a very thin wooden bar in red. This border forms a wonderful contrast to the dark ebony tone. In the same tone, created as a narrow double bar, a narrow variant appears again inside the frame and also ensures a skilful finish here. The middle main part, however, dominates French Ebony on the wide border, which was worked in the concave style. In its entirety, the frame tends to a frame that can frame very special motifs due to the dark color and the immense width. In the case of Alexia, these may have an equally monumental character. Well-known monumental painters were, for example, Johann Peter Krafft, Vaclav Sochor or Alexander Kircher. While the first two worked on history, the latter was a landscape painter - both genres that harmonize with the Alexia frame. |
