This work was created over a longer period of time in 2024 and accompanied me throughout an entire summer. The starting point was an AI motif I developed myself, which exists in several variations. One of these variations appealed to me so much that it became the basis for my sketches. I experimented with different materials and techniques, including white lacquer paint to increase contrast, acetone to soften transitions, and metal lacquer pens to emphasise individual details. Finally, the work was coated with a varnish that creates a subtle glitter effect. This changes the perception of the image depending on the incidence of light: light reflections are created that look like floating dust particles – an effect that was not originally planned but has proven to be a surprising visual layer. In terms of content, the image addresses inner burden, stagnation and dignity at the same time. The figure depicted appears introverted, almost timeless, embedded in a rural setting between work, exhaustion and quiet contemplation. The work deliberately moves between tradition and the present, between digital origin and craftsmanship.
