Colorful Pictures: Luminosity as a painterly programme

Colourful paintings set special accents on every wall. It doesn't matter whether a painting focuses on one color like red, blue and green or brings a firework of colors to the canvas. You'll find ornamental art, paintings that put animals front and center, and enchanting flower paintings that amaze with oversized blooms and detailed renderings. AlyZen Moonshadow stacks cups, saucers and cans on top of each other in his contemporary photo-art piece "Gold and Purple Stacks." This creates the impression that these purple and gold, orientally decorated everyday objects are the silhouette of a city. Linda Arthurs, on the other hand, transforms a "pile of cushions" into a total work of art reminiscent of the colorfulness and beauty of hand-woven carpets.

Flower lovers will be equally delighted! Whether peonies by Neela Pushparaj, roses flying through a magical night by Lee Campbell, or a pink floral heart with a singing blue bird: These artworks captivate with lush color palettes and detailed renderings of blooms and leaves. Stylized art can also be found under the category of "Colorful Paintings." Linda Arthurs is a master at setting a vase of bright red tulips in harmonious contrast to an ornamental curtain in the background of the painting.

With an evening sky in varying shades of blue, red, purple and yellow, the same artist enchants her viewers with the 2016 oil painting "Symphony". Another option is to let Lincoln Seligman transport you to a fairy-tale, oriental world. Riders on decorated camels and turbaned heads tell a story whenever you look at this red-based painting. William Ireland, on the other hand, turns to colorful everyday life with pots of flowers in the garden. Harmoniously integrated, a large watering can stands out from the colorful hodgepodge of pots.
