This painting is a homage to earlier works that focused on gorges and waterfalls. For this new edition, I decided on a finer painting style and smaller dimensions compared to some of the older paintings. It was particularly fascinating for me to repeat the tried and tested motif of a waterfall in a gorge with a river in front of it in this delicate painting technique. The sky here appears wide and almost funnel-shaped. This makes the waterfall at the lower end of the "funnel" stand out all the better, exactly at the point where the "funnel" normally opens. From here, clear, fresh water gushes out and flows in dynamic motion towards the viewer until it reaches the lower edge of the picture. Of course, a gorge should not be without its rock faces and borders. In this case, you will find plenty of overgrown rocks and trees clinging between the stones. These elements lend the scene a natural and wild beauty that immerses the viewer in the depths of the gorge and the power of the water. A work of art that captures nature in its impressive splendor. The original painting entitled 'Lichtertal' is an oil painting on canvas from 2019. The size of the original is 40 x 50 cm. Thanks to professional digitization, a meter-sized print can also be produced without any loss of quality. The original was created in the artist's studio in Berlin-Mitte.
