Lake Geneva with Mont Blanc in the Dawn Glow

Ferdinand Hodler is considered the most famous Swiss painter of the 19th century. He is an important representative of Symbolism and Art Nouveau. The painting "Lake Geneva with Mont Blanc in the Dawn" was created in 1918, in the late creative phase of the artist. Here you can see a landscape that the artist has painted several times, again and again in a slightly different color scheme and mood. While Ferdinand Hodler at a young age put his painterly focus primarily on portraits and nudes, dominated in his last years, the landscapes. These have a very special magic and magically cast a spell over the viewer. The masterful brushwork and the harmoniously harmonized rose tones of this landscape make it a work that inspires not only connoisseurs. Here is the painting "Lake Geneva with Mont Blanc in the morning red" as a masterpiece available.
