The Audrey picture frame draws its appeal from the interplay of two distinct tones: cool light silver on the narrow front edge and deep black on the recessed outer step. Crafted from solid wood, the frame features a finely grooved, brushed finish. The silver captures light falling from the side in delicate lines without causing excessive glare. Small dark accents in the surface pleasantly soften the metallic sheen. At 20 mm wide, Audrey remains understated, whilst the 25 mm height lends the profile a noticeable depth. The silver top moulding is gently rounded and sits above a stepped black base. This creates a narrow shadow edge on the outside, which visually frames the image whilst simultaneously creating a slight distance from the wall. This linear profile design follows in the tradition of modern 20th-century gallery frames, as used particularly for photography, graphic art and prints presented in a minimalist style. We are happy to recommend Audrey for black-and-white photographs or abstract works featuring cool shades of blue, grey and silver. In bright rooms, it introduces a subtle, almost frosty touch of light. It looks at its best when black details in the image or in the décor echo the dark profile edge.
