Art print on Canvas glossy, 30cm x 48cm, stretched on stretcher. With painting frame '?'.
The 1880s represented a turning point in the work of the French MA Edgar Degas, who lived from 1834 to 1917: The famous Impressionist devoted himself at this time in detail the representation of files. Predominantly, women were portrayed who do the washing, dressing, combing or styling. The "Standing Act" is also in this series and shows a lady who has just got up. In this series of paintings, the painter uses the expressive possibilities of the pastel. The body in the Standing Act is shown in a naturalistic way, with the various brushstrokes giving life and a vivid surface to the woman's body. The goal was to show a naked and natural body as the perfect creation of nature. The painting of the standing, naked lady looks unconcerned and like a snapshot that is not staged. The shades of the picture harmonize with each other and blend into each other - according to the style rules of impressionism. © Meisterdrucke
