Painting Frames "Katalina"

Braun mit Ornament • Serie: Edge • Width: 66mm • Height: 36mm
Here is an original painting frame trimmed on antique called Katalina. It belongs to the Edge series, which only offers handmade decorative frames and is therefore one of the premier class of frames. Like the other models, Katalina is a real one-of-a-kind due to the manual work. The dimensions of the real wood frame at Katalina are 66 mm in width and 36 mm in height. The final size of the painting frame is up to the customer himself. Depending on the circumstances in his own four walls, he can order exactly the dimensions that fit into his space. The designers then take this as a basis and produce the desired frame in well-founded handwork. The wood is cut to the desired size, after which the associated ornaments are then applied. The symmetrical arrangement includes decors in every corner of the frame as well as an element that sits centrally on the bar. Eight decorations are therefore part of the framework of this range. The shape of the frame has a classic structure. At the top edge, the wood begins round with a likewise round and thin bar. This clears the way for the centerpiece, the broad main frame, which in this case slides into the room like a valley that slopes downwards. Not too far, just so that the following border connects evenly. This is flattened in the front view and gives a rounding in the fold width. Finally, the applied ornaments are no less remarkable. Slender palmettes rise up in the corners of Katalina, which are surrounded by leaf tendrils, which skilfully move forward along the ledges from the corner. They show the way directly to the interior ornaments of the bar. Here, too, arabesques are presented in a delicate form. The delicacy of the figures is enhanced by the raised space between the arabesques. The ornaments are visually stopped towards the inside of the frame, the reason being further decorations on the inner bar. Carved figures, which are lined up diagonally, form an excellent conclusion to the chosen motif. This composition of various wooden moldings, carvings and ornaments is complemented by a well-chosen color scheme so that the frame of an attractive appearance can be assured among art lovers. Katalina also impresses with the strong brown that makes up a solid wooden frame. The brown is accompanied by colors such as black and orange, a light gold shimmer, gray-greenish matt accents and antique effects in the form of deliberate scratches, slightly scattered over the wood. Orange and black result in a desired wood grain on the base frame, while the green-gray remains in the background of the ornaments and releases them to the gold shimmer. These stand out in shiny gold. In the overall view, the mixture of all components promises the image of an antique frame with its own history.
