| You can see from a distance that Arwyn belongs to the premier class of decorative frames: a gold frame like the one in the book. Arwyn is one of the models in the Edge series, which is very special among the painting frames, as they are traditionally handcrafted for the customer. If you choose this gold frame, you can have your own personal measurements made. The lengths of the lasts are cut accordingly and then finally decorated with the ornaments by hand with the greatest care. This creates a unique piece that everyone likes to hang on their own four walls. While the art lover has the lengths of the real wooden strips cut to size for the frame, the dimensions given relate to the width and height of the frame. With a total width of 100 mm, the designers have created several layers of wooden slats harmoniously with the Arwyn frame. The frame measures its highest point in height at 55 mm. This is a kind of wooden tongue that flies like a wave on the outer edge after two narrow strips, shows a small curvature at its highest level and slides back into a small depression. In this depression, two very simple, delicate strips with an empty space form a classic combination, which is finally concluded with another border in the interior of the frame. This fantastic shape of the wooden frame itself is further reinforced by the various ornaments in its rococo style. This style derived from the Baroque is even more playful, which Arwyn also likes to show the viewer in his way. The outermost edge is covered with small nails, which, like links in a filigree chain, give the frame an adequate frame finish. The border in the inner area is represented by a series of ornaments. Floral braid runs over this bar on the inside. The subsequent double bar is kept in a simple style so that the Rococo can really live out on the following main bar. The elements applied by hand, which show their effect in the middle of each wooden strip, but also in each of the four frame angles, form a network of flowers, tendrils, volutes and palmettes. The compilation is regal to the viewer. The majestic effect is further enhanced by the fact that the ornaments are attached to the wooden shaft protruding into the room, which emphasizes the feel and structure even better. Arwyn was masterfully designed in form and ornamentation. But the designers have put the icing on the cake here in the special coloring. A perfectly shaped gold frame needs a lot of golden color. This was no shortage, and Arwyn was awarded several different shades of the precious metal. From a somewhat darker, almost reddish gold color, to a rather matte golden brown in the background of the ornaments, to shiny gold effects that are wonderfully reflected in the light. |
