| The Van Gogh frame series with the Janine model created a real gem of a picture frame. Here the designers had a clear pleasure in giving their ideas to a real wooden molding with a character that, according to the name of the Van Gogh series, can skillfully frame works by the Impressionist. They chose the dimensions rather cautiously. Janine is 36 mm wide and the height is 30 mm at the highest point. This part also extends immediately at the outer end of the frame. With a narrow, right-angled bar, these 30 mm immediately enter the room. The bar bears the main color of the frame, a strong, yellowish gold, which shows the red underneath in delicate transverse lines through slight abrasion. A dark brown, straight line delimits this border from the inner middle part, which in turn shines in said gold. This part bulges backwards, where it becomes straight towards the lower area and makes room for a neat border. This is underlaid with a handsome dark brown, on which gold-colored rivets line up like a chain. A narrow golden double bar skilfully closes off the ensemble from the inside of the picture. |
